- Test de-winterized sprinklers and confirm good spray patterns.
- Remove exterior faucet covers and de-winterize hose bibs.
- Remove garden hoses from storage and place near faucets.
- Blow off winter debris from decks and patios.
- Remove deck furniture from storage and place on deck/patio.
- Move ice melt & container to storage.
- Clean AC condenser and remove any debris inside unit.
- Turn on gas values to exterior fire pits and grills.
- Switch ceiling fans to turn counter clockwise.
- Check landscaping lights and confirm properly operating.
Winterization
When the chill of winter approaches, our Winterization Maintenance is your key to a cozy and secure home. Our professionals meticulously prepare your residence for the frosty season with essential tasks to safeguard against the elements to ensure warmth and comfort all season long. Winterization tasks include:
- Remove all garden hoses from exterior faucets and put into storage.
- Install insulated faucet covers and/or shutoff water supply valves to exterior faucets.
- Place ice melt container by front door.
- Move deck furniture to storage.
- Inspect exterior caulking around windows, doors, and other exterior penetrations. Fix where needed.
- Turn off gas valves to exterior fire pits and grills.
- Switch ceiling fans to turn clockwise.
- Light pilot for interior gas fireplaces and check functionality.
- Clean furnace cabinet and remove any debris inside unit.
- Confirm radon fan operation and good vacuum levels.
